Light Therapy 101
Red light therapy has been proven to be safe in over 15 years of use by NASA, thousands of physicians and hundreds of thousands of consumers. As a general rule, if you can tolerate 20 minutes in the sun, then you can tolerate 20 minutes under Red Light Therapy. There are some exceptions to that rule though. If you have a photosensitive skin condition (such as lupus), then you should consult with your physician before starting red light therapy.
Eye protection should be used when near-infrared mode is active. We provide eyewear with every Vital Red Light purchase. You should not shine a red light device directly in your eyes - just as you would never look directly towards the sun. We recommend initially using the product in a well-lit room to allow your eyes to become accustomed to the light. You may see a blue/green tint after first use (this is completely normal as your eyes are adjusting to the bright light).
Our general rule of thumb is that if it is safe and tolerable for a person to be outside in the sun for 20 minutes, then it is probably also safe for that person to have 20 minute exposure to Red Light Therapy. All Vital Red Light devices come with a 30-day return period as well as a 2-year limited warranty. To obtain warranty service, please contact our Customer Experience Team at support@vitalredlight.com and we will respond via email to provide support. Please include your order number, as well as a description of what is wrong with your device.
Vital Red Light is on of the first red light therapy companies to take extra steps to reduce the light flicker to as low as possible. Just like EMFs, our environments are surrounded by high-flicker technology; from fluorescent lights to cell phones, TVs, tablets, etc. This seemingly innocuous high-flicker cannot be perceived with the naked eyes, but over time it causes cellular degradation — especially to the eyes and brain that leads to headaches, migraines, mood and behavioral disorders and more.
While we understand the appeal of combining sauna time with Vital Red Light therapy, we recommend you don't use your Vital device in a sauna for your safety. As our devices require a lot of power, they may get very hot while in use—and the hot temperatures may pose an electrical safety risk.
However, we must note that using your Vital light before or after your sauna session can be very beneficial. Red lights and saunas complement each other exceptionally well. As saunas deliver energy in different near infrared vs far infrared wavelengths, there is no effective overlap between the two therapies.
Shipping & Orders
All Vital Red Light orders come from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters. If you are located in the US, shipments typically arrive within 3-5 business days.
Shipping to the lower 48 United States:
Free ground shipping on all orders: 5-7 business days from the date the order is placed. 2-day shipping is available for an additional cost shown at checkout.
Shipping to Alaska/Hawaii:
Free ground shipping on all orders: 5-7 business days from the date the order is placed. 2-day shipping is available for an additional cost shown at checkout.

We ship all over the world! We do not offer free shipping on international orders. Our shipping rates are calculated at the checkout based on your location and may vary in price by a few dollars depending on your state/province.
Vital Red Light ships orders internationally for a discounted rate, and we have several international shipping providers to choose from at checkout. Shipping internationally may take 6 to 12 business days, depending on your location and customs clearance at your local post office.
The customer is responsible for all import charges and expenses by their local post office. We do our best to minimize these rates on your end - so shipping is fast, easy, and painless!
Most orders are processed within 24 hours of placement and shipping is 3-5+ days for delivery depending on your location. You will be notified via email if there is any delay in processing or shipping that would cause this timeframe to be extended.
Yes, we offer 2-day express shipping to the lower 48 United States, as well as all international orders (prices are shown at the checkout).
For orders with standard addresses throughout the US and Canada, we offer basic ground shipping through UPS. For orders being shipped to a PO Box, we offer basic ground shipping through USPS. For international orders, we offer standard ground shipping via DHL for the European Union, and DPD for the United Kingdom. You will receive an automated email when your order ships which will include a unique tracking number. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking number to become active within the carrier’s system.
Returns / Exchanges
Qualifying devices purchased directly from Vital Red Light as of February 16, 2021, may be returned within 30 days by the date of receipt — any returns after this period will not be accepted.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase (order confirmation email). A full refund, as well as free return shipping, is provided in the contiguous U.S. only. Orders of qualifying devices shipped to military bases, APO/FPO addresses, U.S. territories, PO boxes, as well as Alaska and Hawaii, do not qualify for free return shipping (as the standard return policy applies).
Vital Red Light will provide a pre-paid shipping label to the customer for eligible returns. We do not charge restocking or any hidden fees.

To begin a return, visit www.vitalredlight.com/returns. Please fill out the form provided on our Returns Page — you will need your order number, email address, first/last name & the reason for return.
If you wish to cancel your order for any reason, please email us at support@vitalredlight.com. We are happy to attempt to reroute your order, but please note that all cancellation requests are subject to reroute availability by our carrier. We process and ship orders very quickly at Vital Red Light. In this case, you may receive your order and return it to us. Please refer to these order return instructions to begin the return and refund process.
If you are unhappy with the size of your device, we are happy to exchange or upgrade your device for another one of our units within 30 days upon receipt. Please note that if you choose to exchange it for a different device, we will refund you to the difference between the two devices (including the original discount code or promo code you applied). To upgrade the unit, you will be required to pay the difference between the price of the old unit and the price of the new one (including the original discount code or promo code you applied).

Once you are there, simply fill out the form that is linked to our returns page — you will need your order number, email address, first/last name & the reason for return. Vital Red Light pays for shipping back to our facility, so it is completely free to you. Unlike other red light companies, we do NOT charge restocking fees — we want you to be happy with your red light therapy device!
If you received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact our Customer Experience Team at support@vitalredlight.com with your order number and description of the incorrect or damaged order. Please send photos or videos to support the damaged claim.
If the product is returned in accordance with our Return Policy, Vital Red Light will credit the original payment method used to place the order + any applicable taxes (excluding shipping and handling charges unless otherwise specified). You can expect your refund typically within 10 business days of receipt at our warehouse.
